Re: New Leathers
... well equipped for their price. As for branded leathers I'm going to have to go against the grain here and say it's not my taste however if you take away the logo the kit is going to be amazing and like others have already said will last a lifetime.

Actually like that show, not big on many reality shows (hate Moonshiner's, for example) but I like old muscle cars, and Gas Monkey's take on themSpudda wrote:Fast n' Loud

Re: Front motorcycle stand
As Duke mentioned, it stands a good chance that the recovery companies used a stand that would take cruisers and sports bikes ... but the front pivot was close

Re: someone wants to take the bike round the car park
Bit late into this thread, Hubs but my take as follows...
Just stick to your guns, and explain the whys and wherefores of insurance and the ramifications of him possibly dropping it, and even hurting himself...if that fails, give him a slap!!!

Fwiw I expect that Hubb's has got the message loud & clear by now.
Perhaps thinking hats on.: Maybe the advice we should now be concentrating on offering should be more around the best tactic for changing his colleague's mind .?

Re: someone wants to take the bike round the car park
Point to that story; of course it'll end badly. There's no other possible outcome than you starting another thread titled "so I let this guy at work ride my bike..." Agreed and after meeting you and seeing the bike all in one piece and looking good be a shame to read someone else has smea...

Re: someone wants to take the bike round the car park
I asked a mate if I could have a go on his bike once. He told me not to wheelie it. So I didn't. I just braked too hard and fell off it instead. I was only 15/16, and it was only a 50cc, but that's still someone's bike and he wasn't happy. Neither was I, I had shorts on and took a chunk of skin off ...

Re: someone wants to take the bike round the car park
Hope he stops don't let him being technically a little higher than you be a persuader in this situation he should know what situation he's putting you in to and to me that is not fair. If he asks again tell the guy that it won't happen, this is your property and therefore your responsibility, the gu...

Re: someone wants to take the bike round the car park
I let a mate have a go on one of my old bikes just up and down his street, he almost got taken out by a car reversing off their drive and ended up hammering across 3 gardens trying to avoid it it was only an old wrecker of a bike though. my advice would be not to do it.

The Police won't use dashcam footage for an offence like using a mobile phone whilst driving. The evidence isn't good enough to take to court.

Re: someone wants to take the bike round the car park
My dad asked a few times in the past. "It's only a 600" Yeah dad. That's right. It's also 30 years since you last rode a bike. Sod off. My dad took my Daytona out about 6 years ago now while I was cleaning it (yes officer he stole it) as I wouldn't let him ride it. I went in the house (my...

Re: someone wants to take the bike round the car park
I'd let him take the CBR around the car park. But it's not my bike.
If it was my bike, no way. And I think he's a bigger d!ck to keep asking and should realise it is an unreasonable request.

Re: someone wants to take the bike round the car park
... ride big bikes at the moment and have insurance. There is maybe one person I know who hasn't got insurance or a bike licence that I would let take it round a private car park if he really wanted but he has been my best mate for 20 years so there is a lot of mutual trust and respect and he ...

... just off off the M25. he is in the right hand lane, me in the left. Lights change and we both pull away (the guy on the R1 1st as I always take it slow as people pretty much ALWAYS jump the red just after it changes) but this time we both had to slam on the brakes as some guy in a mini ...
