Re: What are you eating ??

Been out for a McDonalds. My boss is out so I took my 2 colleagues out. It's pissing it down and McD is just down the road.

It was edible. I do like their milkshakes.

Re: Journey to Biking

... pleased with your choice. Fwiw I have a little old CBR400 that I still have as a winter hack, and imho that sort of size is more than adequate for road riding. I actually prefer the smaller capacity machine, as it feels less "under exploited" when riding at a socially acceptable pace. ...

Sorely tempted to run the bike into a mainly track bike with daytime MOT.

Fwiw I think that would suit the bike perfectly. -It would only be enhancing it's "exclusivity look"

Re: New KTM 1290 SDGT

... Edit, Reading the review in PB it looks like KTM have done a lot of work to improve the suspension, which is not bad at all on mine at normal/fast road speeds. (y)

Re: A fling with an Africa Twin Adventure Sports

Totally agree with Kwacky on the Multi off-road. I’ve done a couple of hundred km’s on the gravel on the Multi, and while I wouldn’t shy away from doing sections of dirt/gravel if need be, I don’t go seeking them (anymore) Road tyres off-road ...

Re: A fling with an Africa Twin Adventure Sports

It depends what your friend wants it for. If it's road miles for trips out then the Multi is the most accomplished IMO. It's a smooth ride, very capable, sporty and comfortable. It's a very polished bike. I wouldn't take one off road though. I know ...

... hangover from the stag do, and it's only my 3rd run since July. Needless to say it hurt, but came in at a respectable 56 mins. Last road race of the year, now to focus on trails and rebuild my fitness for next year.

Re: First off road lesson

That's not good about the protection of expect better too. Shame about the bike I guess they should be looking after their bikes as its not like they travel on smooth tarmac but across hard terrain. But hope you had a good day none the less. Could you ask for a bit of a refund for only experiencing ...

Re: Graduated Driving Licences

... ^^ I know it was quite controversial when it was introduced, but it's now working well IMO. I don't see why one path to using a vehicle on the road should be different from another. I also think the driving test should show what happens when you don't follow the training and advice. They did ...

Re: Honda GB400 TT

... fast, smooth and great handling, I’ll jump on the Multi. So got home, took it off the trailer. Started it up and let it warm up well. Off down the road and within two mins it stopped dead. Re: Kwacky's ongoing Africa Twin Adventure Sport review

Aside from outright performance the biggest plus for me is the ability to see the road further ahead than you can on a sports bike.

Re: Kwacky's ongoing Africa Twin Adventure Sport review

Adventure bikes can embarrass sportsbikes on the road.

I test rode a GS and a Multistrada and unless you ride like a dick it would be hard to go any quicker on any motorcycle tbh.

Re: Kwacky's ongoing Africa Twin Adventure Sport review

Thing is these sort of bikes have suspension better suited to road use, even fast road use. They handle so much better than they ever used to.
