Re: Kwacky's ongoing Africa Twin Adventure Sport review

... the bike last night and went over it to check everything was ok. I noticed on the front wheel a few tiny black dots. I thought it was off the road but they wouldn't wash off. The dots are smooth so it's not road crud. I haven't used anything different to clean the bike and it's not been used ...

Re: Kwacky's ongoing Africa Twin Adventure Sport review

Pirelli also do a Scorpion Rally STR tyre with a more off road bias but still good on the road. It's fitted as standard to the Ducati Scrambler Desert Sled.

Re: Kwacky's ongoing Africa Twin Adventure Sport review

The Scorpion Trail is standard fit on the Multistradas and there is a version two out now.

It was a superb road tyre with plenty of grip in all conditions.

... through a set in just over 4000 miles. Felt softer than rest to me. And more a non dual sport feel to them. Finally TKC80.. these are serious off road block tyres but really soft. I've had 3 pairs on the XC and done some serious off-road in them. Places young shouldn't take an 800XC without a ...

Re: Aprilia RSV4 Factory 2019 promo

Torque.

I think its getting more difficult to make a 1000cc road bike that also works well on the track especially as the WSBK rules mean the racebike has to be more like the roadbike.

Re: A Third bike

... I notice that Fast Bikes has it quicker round a kart track than either the Superduke or Tuono. Still think that 1050 engine is probably the best road bike engine out there that I have ridden to date.

Re: A Third bike

... update. You know how great the 09-12 is but my personal favourite is the 13+. Better looking IMO and a very strong engine more suited to the road. 765RS - it's the bike I want for the road. I think it will have enough torque to be a little lazy but you'll still have to work it to get a proper ...

Re: Tankslap Euro 2019

If we've got time at any point could we swing across to Autun? We might have time from Orleans to Dijon. The road from Nevers to Autun looks decent on the map and it's in the Morvan.

No worries if it makes the day long, it's just somewhere I would like to see.

Thirty minutes from the venue, in a bus lane on London’s permanently jammed Marylebone Road, Moto Gelato giggled and let the gear lever shear off. I knew it had sheared off because I saw the lever laying on the road shimmering and smiling ...

Re: Triumph official moto2 engine supplier from 2019

The basics of the Moto2 engines are standard road bike engines.

I don;'t think they are tuned for big power.

Re: This will please Frankie

I was millimeters from killing at least one cyclist and myself on one road ride. Came round an uphill hedge-lined bend on a narrow-ish B-road. Cyclists 3-abreast, oncoming motorhome breaching my side of the road and I was doing about the national limit. Fortunately ...

Re: What do you call a pack of pushbikes!

I don't detest cyclists, when I have been out on my MB on the road, I am mindful the traffic around me....and if they are riding the same I give them time and space, its just these groups who turn into something less pleasant!
