Re: Dash cams

... inconvenience but I once got stuck behind a peloton on twisty, hilly country lanes which was a nightmare. I think it was an amateur race on open roads which took up a whole lane for about the length of a HGV or more with the odd one straying into the other lane now and again. If they had have ...

... do it) for the first timers. Overall I think we need more police on patrol because as others have stated, there are so many obvious issues on the road that In any journey they could issue a 10's and even hundreds of tickets for things like mobile phone usage behind the wheel. I'd also be in favour ...

Re: Dash cams

I think that is the point when they ride 3 or 4 abreast, and then don't even bother to switch to single file for other road users to pass. I don't really understand why they do it. Either cycle, or go to a pub for a chat. Then I don't understand people who chat whislt running either,. ...

Re: GMP unmarked HGV

I think it's a great idea HGVs are (I would say) the most dangerous vwchicle on the road. The driver has to be extra vigilant on what's going on around them as cars/ bikes are go I g a lot quicker and they are the heaviest on the road so if a HGV hit into a smaller ...

... had a good clear pass. I have a track only bike cause after trashing my Daytona at the track I don't want to go thru' the pain of doing that to my road bike again. Plus for $5K I've got something I'll never fully master.

Re: Trackdays

having done at a guess about the first 8-9 of my first trackdays on my road bikes the time came where I thought I had got to a sufficient level to get a track bike. That and the thought that if I binned it I would damage approx 4k's worth of bike and not 15k's ...

... tolerated. If you were really fast you went racing to show off your skills. Now when I turn up I'm usually one of no more than a handful on a road bike. Novices are on tricked up Gixxer 600s with spare WOW, quickshifters and tyre warmers. People with more money than sense are racing in inters ...

Re: Bargain 1199s

As the owner of a 200 bhp motorcycle being completely honest its too much. My Blade had 160 bhp and that was a very nicely mannered road engine with stacks of torque which allowed it to be very flexible in any gear at any engine speed and therefore a great machine and engine IMO. The ten ...

Re: Bargain 1199s

I agree Monty.

I tend to find myself using power mode 2 on the road on the ten.

It has a softer throttle response but still gives full power but only when throttle open past 50% which seems a good solution IMO. Progressive power coming out of corners but full fat when / if needed on straights.

Re: Bargain 1199s

I would tend to agree but I m also wondering how much of a handful the 1299 might be on the road. Its makes 40 bhp more than a zx10r at 8000rpm (shocked) I would like to test ride an 899 and 1299 back to back But as Duke says, just because it's there doesn't mean you ...

... that would make me feel alive and smile. The sound from even the stock exhaust is amazing, I have no idea how they got it through all the road tests. I've just run it in already around Wales and it had it's first service today (I got it last week really) and it really is amazing, easily ...

... unmarked vehicles. You only have to use a motorway and drive past a cop car to witness the reactions and changes in driving from the majority of road users (myself probably included)

Can't see all the video on my phone Duke.

One think I can tell is he has his dash in track mode not road mode which I haven't really used for obvious reasons.

In road mode a single light flashed on the right if I remember correctly.
