Re: Nutz's VFR 800

Are you gonna keep an eye out for a cheap aftermarket set or are you not at all fussed?

It can be nice having a quiet exhaust but in the city I definitely prefer being heard by other road users from a safety point of view

Re: Rossgo's Trip Away!

Do yourself a favour Ross....try using the thing first on an old tyre....the side of the road, in traffic, wearing your gear, etc. is NOT the place to learn how to plug a tyre (don't ask me how I know this!!). And buy more glue - there's barely enough in those little ...

... bang on time. It started on the button and ran sweetly, so all good. Couldn't ride it because of the complexities the government has made round road tax..

Re: What did you do to your bike today ??

Yeah makes sense when you say that.

I was just thinking tall, heavy and skinny off-road tyres didn't sound much fun on ice (wasntme)

Re: What did you do to your bike today ??

Yep. The Versys doesn't have any electronic aids on it apart from ABS.

The AT is fine when it slides, it does it in a predictable and gentle manner. I guess it's designed that way for when you take it off road.

Re: What did you do to your bike today ??

I went for the centre stand. I thought with the bike being so tall and heavy that getting it off a paddock stand would be a PITA. Plus it's easier to change the tube on the rear if you get a flat on the road.

Have to tip my hat that was mighty impressive.

Just watched that myself and have to agree. The segment on Jim Clarke was a real education for me and an amazing story of a deadset legend.

Re: What did you do to your bike today ??

... morning. About 5 minutes into my ride there's an almighty thud on the side of my helmet. No damage to the lid but there was a dead bird in the road. You did well then - they hurt! Glad it didnt damage anything. I had one a while back in the outside lane of motorway - hit the bike, shoulder ...

Hammond's rant about horses!! :D

I do enjoy this format a lot better than Season 2; they don't overdo it with the stupid antics

Re: Daytona 765

... it will be. It doesn't bother me because it's still going to be the track bike to have and might attract people back onto sports bikes on the road. Either way, I won't be buying one so like I say - it doesn't bother me! :D

Re: Daytona 765

The brakes clearly work :D That's clearly a production bike as it's got all of the road stuff on it. It looks tiny. I like the way it's kept the Daytona look. I can't wait to see more photos. It looks very well thought out from that snap. The swingarm is sexy. The ...

Re: Daytona 765

It depends where its aimed. I'm guessing it's got to hit the 959 and the F3 800 markets more than the jap markets. They could do a road legal race rep for about £13k and it would sell.

Infact we literally drove around with no problem so we decided to make our way to Basingstoke as everyone else was driving ...
