Re: What are you doing today ??

... might not tell the true story. The extra torque of the 1098 or the gearing or the fuel delivery could appeal to you more on one model than the other. Worth a test ride if possible to see which you prefer in real world riding conditions would be my suggestion. Nothing to loose other than a few ...

Re: What do you want to vent about today?

Dealing with a very sore ear as i guess it's full of wax. The other day I rang up hospital and they said they can't help without a referral by my docs. I mentioned how stupid this was and how a 10 min job will now be a month and half and to be fair to them ...

Re: What did you do to your bike today ??

Got my wing mirror caps as the other side popped off the other week. So bought a replacement and also a pair just in case. Seems to be a common issue on these bikes luckily not very pricy but packaging does mean it bumps up the price

Death free meat

https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-us-canada-45865403

I like the sound of this. Large commercial factory farms are a massive drain on resources and the environment. In addition, cultured meat would be relatively waste free (in terms of use of the animal) and free of antibiotics and other chemicals.

Re: Brexit Round 2

... now do exactly what they want with the Country...but nobody outside the UK gives a ****...and the only deals they will get are biased towards the other party wanting to sell us the stuff they make with no regulations... and they will want easier movement of their people into the UK. (facepalm)

Re: Odd conversation with biker

... 1000s. It made sense as riding a bike is a bit dangerous at times and the old 1 litre bikes used to love a highside. But modern bikes have TC and other features which allow you ride what you like with a bit of a safety blanket in place. I really loved my Street. Under 100bhp but light and handled ...

Odd conversation with biker

... riding a year and currently rode an Er-6 and b) as someone who has owned an STR, yeah its easy to ride, but my god is it capable of embarrassing other bikes big time. It was just a really odd conversation, I asked if she had ever ridden one and she said she had, It was all a bit odd after that, ...

Re: Audi e-tron - the future

Watched a programme the other day where calculations are that in the UK a hot summers day will be low 40s C and winter days will average double figures. And all within 30 years from now.

Re: Audi e-tron - the future

There's a lot of "What-if's?" there.

But that's an old codger talking...the young generation will embrace this stuff without a second thought (while I, on the other hand, will be eating all my meals through a straw).

Re: World Mental health Day

There's an unnecessary stigma that is all-too-often attached to mental health issues. Any other part of the body is not entirely well, and you're sick, poorly, ill, etc.....they all garner sympathy. Mental issues arouse suspicion, hostility, mistrust, etc. Mental issues ...
