Re: Kids making big decisions

That's pretty much my thinking. I can't force him. Hopefully he'll miss it later on and make a return.

Re: Kids making big decisions

... later he's said he thinks he made a mistake, there's a strong possibility that young Kwacky may come to the same decision in his own time, give him enough space and time and he may come to the same conclusion as my lad.

Re: Kids making big decisions

... has expired now so we would need to renew that before anything else. But to be honest, unless he wants to do it, what's the point? I can't throw him in the car, drive him there and force him to get involved. It's not like he's half committed, he's just had enough. He doesn't want to do it any ...

Re: Kids making big decisions

Difficult.

Is there a time limit on the offer? Could you go back to them and ask them to defer while he thinks about it.

Or bribe him to go and try it? :?

Re: Kids making big decisions

I'm just saying that's it's a big deal for him at that age, that's all...in his mind school is his equivalent of work....anything beyond that has to be his own choice.

Re: Catching a bus?

Well he got right back up, at least....'fare' play to him.
I'm sure the bus co. will 'conduct' an inquiry.

Re: Kids making big decisions

Aside from the fact my lad neither knows nor cares which team I'm in at work, you can't seriously be comparing my move to him giving up taekwondo? It's not like I'm giving up law (or that I'm any good at it).

Re: Kids making big decisions

... like this.. I completely see both sides of the argument and understand exactly why you've done it, however, if Scott Redding's dad didn't push him he would never have made it to MotoGP because he would have quit in his teens. One thing that can never be taken away from your lad is what he's ...

Re: A change is as good as a rest

My current boss has said nothing and to be honest I doubt he will.

This says a lot about him if you ask me.

Congrats though mate, you've obviously not been happy for a while so maybe this will kick things off for the better! (party)

Kids making big decisions

... to train with the national squad. So what's he going to do? Quit. He's giving up taekwondo, he's bored with it. I could cry. I've tried to tell him what he's giving up. But I see it from his perspective. Half of his life he's spent training, practicing and fighting. He gave up a lot to get ready ...

Re: Assen

Enjoyed that race, cant quite believe how much Lorenzos head seems to have gone in the wet still, surely he cant carry on a career if he cant ride in the wet. Ducati must be furious with him, Dovi is making him look very very silly

Re: The new improved fitness thread

... me, what a step up. The instructor is evil. The 10 minute warm up almost floored me. He was showing me some techniques and despite me leathering him, him not using pads his hands weren't moved by my punches, I've never felt so weak even though I know they were good punches. What do you think ...
