Re: Travel Republic

I've never price checked him to be honest. He's a mate running an independent high street travel shop so I'm happy to support him.

Re: HELP! Geek advice required

My lad has just started high school and I got him an iPad with a Microsoft 365 account. 5 months in and so far there's nothing he hasn't been able to do. Plus being dyslexic they let him use the camera to scan the white board.

Re: HELP! Geek advice required

Most laptops will be fine these days, especially for school work as it's mainly using a browser or office tool.

As Jon has said, i'd go 13 inch minimum and 6 GB plus RAM.

Look at touchscreen laptops too - some fold backwards to become a tablet which may help him with visual work.

... Foot, who incidentally was pillared by the media in exactly the same way. To be fair, if I was the media I'd be doing everything possible to stop him. They must be sh!tting bricks

Re: Brexit Round 2

He wants a power grab and a GE with the outcome of him as PM.

The country is in chaos and we really could do without the distraction imo. We need to be decisive and move forward with Brexit now as running the clock down, power grabs and political infighting are not helping anyone.

Re: What do you want to vent about today?

A mate of mine emigrated out to Aus. He's a plumber. He's cancelled work as it's too hot for him.

Re: What ails you today?

I dunno, I remember Kwacky messing himself up pretty bad. Not sure how much metal work it cost him though.

But yeah St Marks very happy with the job she did and she seemed to be as well.

Re: Brexit Round 2

It's not Labour, it's Corbyn. I accept there has been a very concentrated war against him in the media, both press and social, to attack him and undermine him. Everything has been tried. He's still in place as leader. Corbyn has done well to ride it out. But, the public ...

Re: Reasons not to go to Australia, part 24753

He's on the track. He catches the other guy who is going much slower than the onboard biker. he has to overtake him at some point. To me that looks like a safe place to overtake and he does give him enough room.

Neither rider is at fault IMO.
