... and that was a very nicely mannered road engine with stacks of torque which allowed it to be very flexible in any gear at any engine speed and therefore a great machine and engine IMO. The ten is a racer and wants the throttle opening wide and feeding revs constantly which is completely different ...

Option 4 for what it's worth.
I do fancy an 899 so will be testing one if I can. Can't justify one but want one . One of the only crop of new sports bikes I could justify if it worked on the roads here.

Round here it's an occasional thing when you hear a bike pinging it out of the village. But I love the sound, it just makes me a little jealous that it's not me.
