Re: London council could start fining parents for driving ki

Never drive my kids to school even though their school is on the side of a mountain range. The 22 seater school bus pickes them up from my driveway and drops them back the same spot at the end of the day. If it wasn't for the bus I'd have ...

... then snow then a blizzard. I couldn't see as the snow was covering my visor. The snow was that thick it was settling on me, the bike and the road. Even at 20mph the bike was still squirming as the tyres struggled for grip. Just to make matters worse the wind was really whipping up. Freezing cold ...

Re: Kwackys Next Commuter

Hmm, I'd guess the protectors are easier to fit than the hassle of replacing the frame, might even be a bit of Kevlar or similar friction resistant material in those protectors?

I wondered about the swing arm as well, perhaps the flex is easier to incorporate into an alloy part?

... is in litres but we all still use mpg as a fuel consumption guide. Well.....you started off with MPG and now prolly just transpose over without even thinking about it. It probably doesn't help that we use miles-per-gallon and then the Europeans use litres-per-100km....it's all front-to-back.

Re: What do you want to vent about today?

Bloody pedestrians. I've had a run of people stepping out in front of my while I'm driving or walking behind me even though I'm backing out of a carpark spot. More than once in the last week I've had to swerve or emergency brake to avoid hitting people. The whole 'if I don't look ...
