Re: Our new unit

Looks good Kingfixer!

All credit to you and your mate for going it alone, it’s never the easy option but at least you will get out what you put in and you are now the masters of your own destiny!

Handy too that you now have plenty of room for the bikes!!

Re: Just one bike

Changing bikes is expensive.

Upgrade cost, insurance and tax and that's before you start buying new bling. Keeping 2 bikes you enjoy surely has to be the best and most financially beneficial decision.

Re: Just one bike

what i like about having two bikes is that if there's something amiss with one then i've got the other, it might be a puncture, an ailing battery, bulbs that i haven't got a replacement for or some kind of mechanical issue. Of course, with ...

Re: Just one bike

It is Blade. To be honest if I'm going to keep two bikes I'll keep the two I've got. Both are paid for and owe me nothing and as a pairing they cover all bases. I dunno what to do :D (facepalm) Sounds like you need to do nothing but enjoy them. I ...

Re: Which Street Tripple?

... But IMO you should never buy a bike thinking what it's going to be worth when you sell it. Just enjoy the thing. And yes, they are great looking bikes..

Both bikes are pretty much spot on for road riding and occasional track use. The 765 has electronic rider aids which the 675 doesn't.

You'll have fun on either.

Its an R model they both are.

Re: Which Street Tripple?

Also Kwacky... What are the Triumphs like for reliability?
I really like one of these bikes though b,cos first of all they,re British and secondly they have a certain style that the Japanese bikes don,t.

Re: Which Street Tripple?

Do some online insurance quotes and see what the difference is. Have you taken them out for a ride? Both are excellent bikes. It depends what you like the look of. What's the Apr on those loans? It might be cheaper to get a bank loan. Or a 67 plate 675 with more bling fewer miles ...

Re: Buying a new bike soon.

The problem with most new bikes is the emission controls that they have are what makes the throttle response a bit snatchy on initial throttle opening, a re-map will sort it on any bike. Triumph seem to be the best out of the box, my 675STR ...

Re: advising your younger self

Tbh I was told not to trust cagers, but learned the lesson the hard way after 1 month on two wheels. 1, Don’t listen to advice about bikes from people that don’t ride. 2, Buy decent gear and wear it, a denim jacket & DM’s are not good enough. 3, When Trackdays take off - go and book ...

There is only one acceptable reason not to have two bikes imo.

And that's you haven't got room for three (rock)
