Re: A Third bike

... is not as good or as user friendly as the 1299 which has a smooth torque curve and better connection between rbw throttle and rear tyre. Both good bikes and are very entertaining ride. You certainly know you've just been on a Superbike :P

Re: 2019 Biking plans

My biking plans for this year are just hoping to be able to ride confidently again on both bikes. If My body is good enough to manage a weekend away with Jess on the back before years end it'll be a win in my books.

Re: 2019 Biking plans

... And it’s expensive for what is really just one day. I reserve the right to change my mind later in the year though. :D It's a weekend away on the bikes. I do think a lot depends on the weather. The last visit there was a wash out. It also depends what bikes you're on. It's only a matter of time ...

Re: 2019 Biking plans

... from the B word and all the doom and gloom (gah) I guess priority No.1 is ride more as been sorely lacking in the last 2 year's. No plans for the bikes as I have them where I want them now and got new tyres in the garage waiting to go on, so I think I'm all set there. Do fancy some trackdays and ...

Re: BMW Weld und BMW Museum, Munich

That's understandable. Of the 3 I only wanted to go to BMW as they do bikes and they've had a very diverse history.

Plus it was on the doorstep.

Re: Bikers and bike security

2x Guard dogs, 24hr cctv monitoring on both access roads, bikes in a locked & bolted bikeshed where they're chained down as well as having Xena alarmed disc locks. Imho the best security is ensuring your bikes location is unknown. Once the thieving ...

Bikers and bike security

Why are so many bikers against securing their bikes? I see it time and time again when the issue of alarms comes up on a forum or on facebook. "a van and a couple of blokes could nick it in seconds" is a common reason for not bothering ...

Re: still on original tyres....

And under 400 miles on the clock... I couldn't do it, bikes are for enjoying, not decoration.

A pair of M7RR's would be straight on there as 20 year old rubber will be hard as plastic.
