Nutz's VFR 800

... really arrives. I got no where near the red line, but I never needed to. And while we're on the subject of the elephant in the room with these bikes, the VTEC. Yes it is horrible riding at 7k RPM with the VTEC on and off... So I've already learned, don't. Simple as. I came back along the A4, ...

Re: What do you want to vent about today?

... a multi-bike policy. Well it seems you can only get one of those of you have a garage.. I don't.. but the same underwriter would insure both bikes on separate policies at the same address regardless of how they are kept overnight?! I swear there is a little gremlin somewhere with a magic ...

Re: What are you doing today ??

I offered to use trade plates when I took a used bike out and the dealer agreed. The bikes are only insured against theft, they have to add them to the trade policy so they can be ridden on trade plates apparently. @blade, this was the silver one I linked to. No offer ...

They are excellent for modified bikes too, I insured the RSV with them for years.

Re: Cheap commuter hack

That's how I ended up with the D600 and the RSV, but times I went to look at different bikes..

I've arranged to see the blue one sometime tomorrow morning.

Re: Insurance renewal

Yes. If the whole thing was £73 I would have paid in full by now.

The two bikes insurance comes in at £290.

Interestingly they now mention foreign cover rather than European cover.

Re: What did you do to your bike today ??

... a couple more, and even more at Devil's Bridge. After a brew and a chat there we headed down to the Pitt Stop cafe at Lancaster, nice selection of bikes to have a look around, good food at decent prices and friendly staff. I also found the limit of grip on the RA3's rear tyre, and all I knew about ...

Re: What did you do to your bike today ??

... Then down mostly back roads again to the edge of Matlock and on to CMC at Clay Cross for a Burger and a brew while looking at all the bikes, nothing peaked my interest. The Continental tyres are great, my confidence in them is growing already and thats on dusty slippery tarmac.

Re: Rossgo's Trip Away!

I've never bothered. Bikes can get wet in the day so there's no issue if they get wet at night.

If there's a group of you the bikes will attract attention anyway so a cover won't make any difference.

It's extra luggage you can do without.

Caffeine and machine - Meet place?

I appreciate these places can be a bit 'hipsterish' but anywhere where bikes are welcome and you can meet, chat and have a drink and some decent food has to be worth a try.

http://caffeineandmachine.com/roadhouse/

Its near Stratford upon Avon.

Re: Mr Postman

I was first. :P Fast Bikes is way past its best anyway. Not much to read in their anymore anyway IMHO. I think I posted it on the 765 thread but only 37,000 sportsbikes were sold in the world last year. It’s not a big market anymore ...
