Test ride day

... It did blow my mind, it felt like it could U-turn on a manhole cover compared to the MT and was not slow at all, sounded lazy being a twin and a little vague on the front but that didn't stop it attacking some of my favorite twistys at indecent speed... And I had to raise the ...

Re: KTM 790 Duke - Review

I'm trying to get my hands on a 1290 for a test ride. I do think the quality of some of the components is down to it being a cheaper model.

The switch gear and dash looked and felt quite cheap, but it would be good to compare against the flagship of the range.

Re: What did you do to your bike today ??

Stalking and hunting spring time wobblers. I love this time of year. Full on sportsbikes with matching leathers clad riders being over taken on the outside of bends by some auld fecker on a Versys 650

it's petty but it's funny.

KTM 790 Duke - Review

... model was only released 3 weeks ago, and this is a brand new demo bike with less than 100 miles on the clock. Please don't rag it as it's still being run in. The QS is quite a cool trick. From the menu you can turn the QS on and off depending on the riding you are doing, what would be better ...

Re: Just one bike

... you wont buy a brand new car cheaper by paying cash rather than having finance. The margins are so small now anything above 10% discount and its being sold at a loss and if that's the case they don't want it on the forecourt anyway. My last two Audis cost me about £4k per annum. And i keep them ...

Re: What are you doing today ??

Out with my brother for a meal and a much needed catch up. I've not seen him for a while. I need to congratulate him on me being an uncle again. He and his wife are expecting a boy in September.

Re: What did you do to your bike today ??

... and loved it! its actually rideable, no chicken strips left already (although the rear is so square it felt like dropping off a cliff, but that's being swapped Friday or Saturday) and in terms of poke it means I just rag it harder to get the same results so actually much more fun! I even found ...

A mate told me the one local to me teaches you all the proper stuff but when he went on a short Euro weekend break with them they rode like complete dicks being completely inconsiderate to other road users.
