Re: LED headlights

+1 for 3 pistons. Very high quality stuff and Rick is a nice bloke to boot. He's very supportive so if you need any help, just give him a shout. https://3pistons.co.uk/products/triumph-speed-street-rocket-l-e-d-headlight-upgrade" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; I'll ask him ...

LED headlights

Hi all, Has anyone had any experience with LED headlight bulbs? I'm interested in tales of fitting them (the space in a bike headlamp is pretty minimal) and brands you've gone with if you have bought them (as the cost options vary dramatically). I'm riding a new Street Triple 765 RS, so if anyone ha...

London council could start fining parents for driving kids t

So I'm going to chip in with a different point of view to the others I've seen... My kids both went to a local school (just over a mile from home) Both were under 9yrs old There were two busy roads to cross on the way. I took them in the car most days. Why? Because dropping then off at 835am meant I...

Re: What you watching?

Nope you don't have to watch anyone my good man. To be fair after 8 hours of filming over two nights there's about 4 seconds of bike action, but it was nice to see her actually look to camera, albeit for 0.25 secs. Where would we be without Sky pause & slow-mo!

She's dead!

Good excuse for a new one. What about a used naked of some sort. Plenty about for not too much. TUONO TUONO TUONO!!! You'd have an absolute riot of fun around the peaks on a late V-twin Tuono believe me. And the confused look of walkers hearing the THUNDER on a sunny afternoon would be priceless :-)

Re: She's dead!

Well, it had one last good thrash across the peaks ands I'm glad I was there to trail in your oil slick. Have you thought about getting a re-con engine & gearbox? You've spent so much time (and I suspect money) getting it right. I've had a few minor parts for my Street Triple from these guys. Sp...

Re: Honda

Competing in the premier class of any Motorsport is simply a huge global marketing exercise, on that basis it's actually not bad value. Interestingly it's why Ford (owners of Jaguar at the time) pulled out of F1, there primary market, the USA didn't watch F1. By comparison, back in the 80's when Ren...

Re: Honda

I read something a while ago about the huge global market for smaller bikes (125cc etc). I think you're both right they may not be focusing on bikes for the smaller markets like ours, but developing the millions of buyers in the growing economies of Asia, Africa & South America. Even though thes...

SMIDSY - The reality

Hi all, I read this (attached) really interesting article in the IAM's Advanced driving about why we as drivers, riders or pedestrians simply don't see things, bikes in particular. Useful information for you to add to your armoury next time you approach a junction. And it's written by an RAF pilot! ...

Re: Digitek USB charger

Yep, I've got one. I bought it for our euro-crusade to France a few years back where it was faultless. I don't use it that often and when I do I just connect it with a long USB cable, when you're on a long journey to an unfamiliar destination it's brilliant. To go with it I also have - TomTom on my ...

Be careful out there

Hi guys & girls, Maybe it's just a coincidence, but I've now seen the aftermath of four bike accidents in the last two weeks. Two of these I could tell instantly we're not the rider's fault but could have been avoided by more defensive riding in rush hour traffic. The last incident I saw yesterd...

Can't believe Ricciardo got disqualified!!! I've been an avid F1 fan since the late 70's & haven't missed a season! I felt devastated by the new noise (or lack of it), but by the end of quali & the race I'd got used to it and was quite surprised when I caught a few seconds of a classic race ...

Re: What bike should i get then....?

Dude also get a good long ride on anything motard like & mental... Remember the demo Aprilia Dorsoduro I had a couple of years back? It was like a Spaniel, brilliant fun for a while but bloody exhausting after a couple of hours. I was gagging to get the silky smooth power delivery and stability ...
