Re: Brexit Round 2

I've just fixed my mortgage rate for the next 10 years. I may end up paying more, possibly not, but at least I know what it's going to be for the next 10 years. See you on the other side! I've been wondering if I should do the same, still got 2 years left on my current fixed rate but if I can get a...

Re: Brexit Round 2

My gut feeling is we will end up with another referendum, but it will be the kiss of death for the Party that orchestrates it. Here's hoping the Tories are forced to fall on their swords.

15 mile journey took 50 minutes.

A scooter looks more and more favourable all the time.

Move to Buxton, I'm averaging 60mph and 23mpg! (lol)

Much more bang for your buck.

Re: Scooters

I commuted around London for nearly 10 years on a super sport bike. A scooter would have been infinitely better for the purpose on just about every level, but I just couldn't do it.

Yes, I'm a scooter snob.

Re: Brexit Round 2

I don't mind Corbyn but I really do believe he's the wrong fit if Labour want to get into power. I agree with that to a point, he's a very hard sell to a large section but the policy is exactly in tune with the vast majority. Ultimately as aways it will come down to which party can get the vote out...

Massive loss to the world, and a truly inspirational fella. RIP

Check out his podcasts, think they're called "Harry's Last Stand". They really do give you a window into post second world war Britain.

Re: Brexit Round 2

"tried" too, yes absolutely with great success in many social demographics (I'm being polite). But despite that he still managed to increase Labour's vote share more than any other party leader since 1945.
