Was due to finish the bike off yesterday just got a only needs brakes fitting on the front the rear shoes adjusting and a slight weep from the fuel tap sorting and she's done Unfortunately i ended up dislocating my knee and spent all day in a&e off work for a while no driving for at least 2 week...

Yeah got the Haynes manual but it didn't list the torque but I asked at a garage that work on a lot of classics while I was dropping a bike off with work they told me 6 to 8ftpounds but not to force it too much as the threads will strip out the spring towers With it tightened and adjusted to the max...

Had a look over it today, front caliper is seized clutch is stuck engine turns over nicely all the electrics seem to be in good order

What do you recommend I flush the petrol tank with at the moment it's empty but smells really bad of old fuel

soo I went to check the head bearings and found the yoke nut wasn't even finger tight, I haven't a clue why this is loose as it was torqued up when the yoke was replaced ages ago and its only recently started wobbling ive tightened it back up now ill test ride it in the morning to see if this has fi...

right ive decided to order some new bearings anyway, when I take the wheel to change the bearings im going to get it balanced aswell,

ill quite happily try taking the balancing weights off to see what happens I wonder how much difference it will make
