Re: Cookie's Street Triple 765 R

Righto - back from service. Spent 2hrs getting back home :D They checked the chain tension - spot on, so it was loose. It was better on the way to service, so probably loose from factory. The bike just got even better - being able to rev it higher and leave it high into corners is the way with this ...

Rode it like I stole it to the dealers. There is nothing like time pressure to focus you as road to dealers closed 20kms away . got to be there by 9.

Diversion attack mode :). I dread to think how fast you can go once serviced :)

Re: Luggage options for the KTM

Have a look at the Ventura racks - it was the only way on the RC8. Great pieces of kit and you can pick off the components on eBay gradually - cost me about 70 all in.

Re: What did you do to your bike today ??

Had a prick in a Porsche convertible hunt me down on the motorway for daring to undertake him. Him and about 5 cars all in the outside lane, waiting for the car in front to get out of their way. I sail by and carry on as normal. I don't do silly speeds on the motorway, too many unmarked cars about,...

Yes i had around 5cm of slack where the manual states 2-3cm preferred. It's going in on Friday so i will ask them to check it just in case.

Re: Cookie's Street Triple 765 R

Chain tension sorted over the weekend - it's surprising how much a new chain stretches. Much better now.

I've also sorted the first service for first thing on Friday so i'll be taking a VERY long way home :D

Re: What did you do to your bike today ??

So we take it you're not missing the RSV? Only on dual carriage ways when you want to get a wriggle on. I miss the fairing. Apart from that, nope. It was a good relationship with the RSV, we did a lot together, but the time to change was right. Same with the RC8 - i miss the power but only onto lon...

Very expensive, but if it's going to keep you dry and guarantee that it's probably worth it.

How long do you expect it to last / whats the guarantee.

It does look nice.
