Re: Brexit Round 2

The general election will go ahead with the Brexit clock ticking. If May cancelled Brexit before a GE she would end the Tory party.

The best you can hope for is an extension

Re: Brexit Round 2

She'll lose another vote of no confidence. That result was very close, which may persuade a few more people to switch sides. Add that's without the DUP dropping her.

Re: Brexit Round 2

It's a shame is such a massive issue as it's very interesting watching the movements going on. The House made it very clear that the PM has to move if she wants their backing.

Re: Brexit Round 2

So it's a cross party discussion. Which is what they should have done 2 years ago.

Re: Brexit Round 2

The EU is ready and had agreed our last deal. At present were not negotiating with the EU as we've got nothing to offer them. It's not the EU holding things up. It's our government.

No deal isn't moving forward IMO.

May is determined to get Brexit through, regardless as to how it is delivered.

Re: Brexit Round 2

The latest according to Lewis Goodall (Sky News) is that Corbyn will go for another vote of no confidence once Plan B is known and that he has effectively ruled out supporting a second referendum The PMs cross party talks will involve the Conservatives and the DUP! So much for making progress. Watch...

Re: Brexit Round 2

I don't agree with you about Parliament not allowing a no deal brexit. Article 50 is in full flow. As from 29th March we're out of the EU. The EU Withdrawal Act confirms the date. If we want to extend the deadline then we need to pass legislation to amend the Withdrawal Act so we can alter the deadl...

Re: Brexit Round 2

Judging from her comments this morning May has discussed extending Art 50 with her Cabinet. The EU have said they would only extend Art 50 if there is a British plan to resolve the exit issues.

Ken Clarke has put the boot in.

Re: The new improved fitness thread

My PT has said that we'll only go heavy once every 4 to 6 weeks. He reckons I'll see more progress with his new plan. He's a big believer in switching things around.

Surely with last night's result and the deadline looming it's a no deal brexit?

Re: Kwacky's ongoing Africa Twin Adventure Sport review

I've been playing around with the settings so I reset the last trip, which means I have no idea how many miles the last tank did :D

I'm getting about 56 mpg when I commute, which means about 300 miles from a tank.
