Re: Honda GB400 TT

Go for it, that looks very smart without being too blingy or tarty.

Re: Journey to Biking

Yeah yeah, you'll drop your bike, it happens to the best of us ;) You're more than good enough to pass your test. Don't get a 300cc. Not only will you get bored, they don't have enough power for today's roads. Modern cars are pretty quick and there's a lot of traffic about. 600cc bikes are easy to r...

Re: 1050 Speed Triple RS

Very interesting. I've got one for a few hours at the end of the month when i get the 765 serviced, so i'll be interested to see if it's worth nearly £5k more than a 765. Isn't it a £3k difference between the 765RS and the 1050RS? How impartial do you think you'll be? You're not in the market for a...

Re: What did you do to your bike today ??

Needed some bike therapy so took the bike out for a spin. Stopped off at a Triumph dealer and took the 1050 Speed Triple RS out for a spin.

I'm still giggling.

I'll do a report later.

Re: Brexit Round 2

The banking industry are working on the assumption that a hard Brexit will mean that your pound will buy .92 of a Euro afterwards rather than the 1.09 or so of a Euro it currently buys. We will not be able to afford jackshit. I wouldn't worry about it, we won't be allowed to travel to Europe anyway...

Re: Possible house move

Who would go in the tent? If our buyer won't do it before the 31st I can't move in on the 24th unless I take out a bridging loan.

If she can't do the 31st she can't move on the 24th without my money unless she takes out a bridging loan.

Re: Rockingham circuit to close?

I like it. The facilities are excellent. It's ideal for the under 1 litre sized sportsbikes and has the best series of left handers I can think off.

Re: Star Trek Discovery - Season 2

The rumours about GoT's last season is that it's been shot in the right format for it to be shown on the big screen. I don't know how true that is, but as there's something big happening in every episode the producers want to make sure that everyone has the opportunity to see it at the same to limit...

Re: Star Trek Discovery - Season 2

The money being spent on TV shows is mindblowing. Some of them have got better effects and production than most films.

Re: Possible house move

The circus is still in town.

Our buyer is insisting on the 31st August, even though he's not moving in to the house.

We don't know if the woman we're buying from can do the 31st. She's already had to make a few re-arrangements to get the 24th in the diary.

Re: 2017 Versys 650 Grand Tourer - ongoing review

The bike is booked in for next Tuesday.

DMC tell me that the bike is now on an annual service only interval. Given the mileage I'll get it done every 6 months.

Re: This heatwave

OK, so the planned switch didn't happen overnight as expected. Due to a technical issue with the DNS provider things just haven't moved as expected. We're still on the old server, but will be back open for business. At some point the switch will happen and I'll backup the database again and copy it...
