out for a ride in the sun - on the quieter roads, eventually got stuck behind this vintage car, going quite a good speed but had to get past because of horrible stink behind, no smoke but an unpleasant pong of exhaust, not nice at all (n) . makes you realise how emissions have been cleaned up.

my friend, motorbike andy, says 10 degrees is the decider temerature, he doesn't go out on his bike unless it hits 10c.

went into oxford to try and get a mobile phone battery but they aren't available any more for mine, only bought the phone 4 yrs ago, apparently you can get them via the internet as an order but then there's some kind of scam going on there with people 'refurbishing' batteries apparently so forget it...

motorbikes are one thing, generally quick and nimble but micro cars on todays roads with all those monster jeep things i was talking about in another post, no - don't fancy it. although, having said that, one of our girls has an old 2000 reg micra and that's great fun to drive, bit like a go kart.

actually saw a bit of sun around midday but by the time i've got the bike out, checked it over, got my gear on it will be cold and wet again.
