Had an 85 mile run around the Peak on the 690 .

Called in at CMC Clay cross whilst i was out for a gander at a few bikes looking for a replacement for the 950 ... Still can't decide on which type of bike though , my heart says a large CC naked , my head says adventure style bike

4l of Motul's finest 10w60 oil which should be enough for 2 maybe 3 services on the 690.

A pack of 15mm olives ,some of which I'll be adding to the gear lever of the 690 to stop the bare aluminium marking non off road boots.

Don't you like that type of engine? I'm surprised at how flexible the 650 in the Versys is. I find them unexciting. I hope Ktm have done something to the fireing order and made it like the Yamaha tdm which had if I remember rightly a 270 degree fireing order. From an off road perspective a wider mo...

The 790 adventure looks even better than the Duke .....but for me there both parrallel twin's so my money will be staying in my pocket

Gave the 690 a bucket and sponge wash followed by a polish/gt 85 and some general maintenance.

And fitted this ..



Not needed for any road trips but off road as standard the stand sinks into the ground to easily.

You can't knock the quality of Kriega products , my R3 has seen lots of use , alot of off road use too and it still scrubs up like new. If I get 11 years out of the R20 I'll be well happy.

Kriega R20...... wanted one for the last year or so to replace an ageing wolfskin backpack but I kept baulking at the price but man math took over and it made sense to go with the Kriega with having a couple of US drypacks

I'm yet to try the PR3 and now there's a PR5 .... I can't keep up

Had an ebay offer accepted on a 690 smc rear wheel. It comes with a rear disc , sprocket and sprocket carrier .... the sprocket carrier will come in handy if I want to use different gearing from the enduro set-up. You have to use an 690 rear wheel as the hub is wider than the earlier Lc4 and smr/exc...

800's are within my budget , explorer's are just out so if they come down a bit I'll be well happy.

10/10 .... I did take a bit of a guess at the explosive sign though.

I still can't see how Catalonia are going to make it work?...... border control , banking , pensions etc. etc .... The whole thing just doesn't seem well thought through to me.

An adventure bike is on my radar as the replacement for the big SM , maybe a Triumph or even a GS. I doubt it would be a new bike though.

A cockapoo .... my partner's choice but she and her family are asthma sufferers so the lack of shedding it's coat is a great benefit . After a life time of owning Staffordshire bull terriers myself the lack of weight and strength is going to take a bit of adjustment

Saturday morning I should be helping a fella get his 660 started.... apart from visiting my folks Sunday afternoon the rest of the weekend will be spent bonding with the new puppy.

Looking at the damage you did well to stay on the bike
