Re: The first to fall

Well, that's good news TC (because I thought from your thread title that you were posting up that you had caught a serious dose of Cv19) Thanks, but as some might wish, no such luck on that front. In the past 10 weeks I have left the house once so I have been well isolated |( When I received the no...

A good news insurance story for once

I have both our cars (Mine and the wife's) insured with Admiral on a multi policy. I pay less for 2 cars than some other insurers quote for just one, so I am more than happy with the premium I pay. This morning, got an email from Admiral to say that due to the reduction in traffic currentlyon the ro...

We have invented a new game.

We live adjacent to the A329(M) and so during normal times although it does not bother us, you are always aware that the Motorway is close by. On the otherside of the Motorway is our local Railway station, and so you are constantly hearing trains passing through or stopping. We also live on the flig...

Agreed

But then look how many races/podiums Randy Mamola achieved and he never won a world title either..

One of my boyhood heroes and I had the good fortune to meet him a couple of times.

Absolute gent and fitting that the tag legend really does apply to him.

I am pretty chuffed with myself

For the past 2 days I have been on a 2 day MiDAS course which is the professional qualification for minibus driver who transport infirm, disabled and less able bodied people around the area. I won't deny, it was tough as it has been a long time since I have been the student (I am usually the instruc...

Good start to the new year (not)

Firstly, happy new year to everyone. I hope you all had a good christmas Found out a couple of days ago that my Aunt died on the 27th of December. That means I have to go to Harrogate on the 21st of January for the funeral. But the real concern is that with my Aunts passing, that now makes me the ol...

Re: Bimota Tesi H2

I'm a big fan of Bimota , usually . That , although I am sure the engineering will be superb, is a very challenging bike to find attractive. I am with you all the way on that. Having owner a couple of Bims in the past I have always been a big fan and thought they created some of the best looking bi...

....I'm surprised you've ended up with Type 2 if the rest of you is doing well. Fwiw that was my thoughts too TC, especially in view of your having lost a few pounds. Seems counter intuitive & somewhat unfair. At least your MOT was fairly positive overall, and keeping an eye on your blood sugar...

Re: Some of you may have experienced this yourselves

I'm surprised you've ended up with Type 2 if the rest of you is doing well. It can be caused by a number of things. It can be hereditary (My mother was a sufferer) It can be caused by my knackered strawberry tart It can be caused by weight (I am a few kilo's over my ideal weight) It can be a side e...

Re: Kawasaki to buy Bimota

Well there you go...every day's a school day!! I'd always thought they were a Ducati-only transplant. Go back to the 70's when I was just starting out and Bimota were the "I want" brand to own. The KB series was out of reach of the majority of riders, but it went like the clappers and unl...
