Re: There's never a copper around when you need one

So given that there is no offence of undertaking, and it is unlikely that he would ever secure a conviction for careless driving, what was his real reason for stopping you? Were you on a multiple lane carriageway? If so, what was he doing hogging the middle our outside lane? There are still too many...

Re: Free IAM Taster Sessions

Here are a few for you. I have personal knowledge of all of them and would be happy to recommend any of them to give you some quality training. Obviously I don't know what part of the West Mids you are in, but the other option is to call RoSPA direct, ask to speak to the advanced drivers association...

Re: Free IAM Taster Sessions

Birmingham based at the Motorcycle Museum. You have problems as a potential client? You should try being an examiner for them. ;) Try RoSPA (who I examine for) and whose head office is based in Birmingham in Edgbaston. There are a couple of very good groups in Birmingham and we may even get to meet...

Re: What ails you today?

3 weeks for me, some sort of virus. Feels like a hangover and I'm falling asleep everywhere. No energy and I'm out of breath after 3 flights of stairs. Not wishing to sound alarmist, but have you been checked out by a doctor yet? That is identical to the symptoms I had at the start of my heart fail...

Re: What are you doing today ??

Is that a routine thing or have you had a scare? I suffered a silent heart atack about 15 months ago, and then last summer I spent 5 weeks in Hospital. I was diagnosed and suffer from Cardiomyopathy which is heart failure and is different from a heart atack, as the heart failure is for life. I had ...

Re: What are you doing today ??

I have just got back from the Hospital I have to have an ECG heart monitor strapped to me for 24 hours. I have not had it on 2 hours yet and already it is irritating the hell out of me Even worse, I cannot take a shower with it on, and I am not allowed to remove it. Roll on 1.30 tomorrow afternoon, ...

Pricks who drive with just their DRL on so there's no lights on at the back. Tw@s sort your lights out. And as we discussed on Twitter a short while ago, those twats who have defective front and rear lights and those who decie not to put their ights n at all. Cannot believe how many of these numpti...

Anyway, well jel TC, so glad you had a great time, good to hear they're putting some new episodes together as well!
But they will not be for general release at the moment. So if they remain limited, I might have something worth some value in years to come ;)

Thunderbirds

Some of you who are old enough like me, may have grown up with, or if a bit younger have seen the re-runs of the original Thunderbirds series. This year is the 50th anniversary of the original series and 3 new episodes have been filmed to celebrate this milestone. As a backer, I will be one of the f...

Re: 400,000 helmets in need of replacement?

I have already been asked for my opinion on this in a professional capacity, and my observation is that it is bady researched article and factually full of flaws, Had they said that 400,000 helmets fit badly, then I would have had difficulty in dissagreeing, but you cannot make a cart blanche statem...

Re: Bike Insurance

Wont you have a heftier excess on home contents policy? And it would count as a claim on your house policy if you did have to claim, resulting in a increase the next year? I have claimed twice (albeit a few years ago) and my premium went up by about £3. It seems that the way claims are recorded for...

Re: Bike Insurance

Sounds good TC. Is it covered as standard on home insurance or an extra you take out. I have it on standard, I just specified it on my goods temporarily away from the house and they said fine. I have had my kit listed on all my home contents policies ever since I brought my first place 30 years ago.

Re: Bike Insurance

That's exactly what I have but at £32 for helmet and leather and £60 for the excess protect it lifts the grand total above £400. It's not bad tbh it's just it was cheaper previously and me and the bikes are older so don't see why the premium increase and you know I'm a skint flint. All my kit is co...

Re: Bike Insurance

The ambulance chasers will at least give a shit if they're on no win, no fee. Because a firm offers a no win no fee (Conditional Fee Agreement to give it its proper name) don't tar all firms as Ambulance chasers. 99% of firms have offer CFA's as it makes legal representation avalable to all and it ...
