Re: My new carbon fibre 'bling'...

Completely understand there would be no conversation with some people and believe me if it was just the two of us I would have another bike sat in the garage as we speak... But she brings the kids into the equation, which may or may not be 'fair'... Depending on how you look at it I suppose!

Re: My new carbon fibre 'bling'...

Still hurting in the mornings till I've "freed up" a little bit and still wearing the brace, been signed off till end of October so every cloud and all that! Like I said most worrying thing is the missus' opinion towards bikes now, it was bad before, will have to wait till at least next ye...

Re: Tankslap Peak District Tour - 30th September

Improving yeah but still painful in the mornings and not as mobile as I was.
What's worrying me the most tho is the fact I might not get on another bike if the wife has her way...!

Re: My new carbon fibre 'bling'...

Yeah that makes kwacky and I understand all that but the way they said the were gonna do it is they've taken the details off me what the make/model of it all is etc: and they're gonna do some research on the retail price of it all then take a percentage off that, I'm on a hiding to nothing really, o...

Re: My new carbon fibre 'bling'...

Yeah bought and paid for... Valued at £2500 which is exactly what I paid for it just over a year ago, similar ones are going for anything between £2000-£3500! I understand that things depreciate over time but I can't go to J&S and say "can I have a second hand helmet that's been worn for th...

Re: My new carbon fibre 'bling'...

Cheers everyone, have been signed off for at least a fortnight but can see it going beyond that. I've never crashed and written anything off before, car or bike, assuming it is written off what's the insurance company likely to do... I assume, being insurance arseholes, that they won't somehow just ...

My new carbon fibre 'bling'...

Check out my new carbon fibre bling... IMAG0241.jpg Came off during the annual fest with the 675.cc lot around Leicestershire... About 5 miles from Melton Mowbray, on an unfamiliar road was going over a crest and somehow upset the bike which led to an , ahem, "tank slap" and by the time I'...

Re: Friday 4th Sept - Wales Rideout

So many roads to enjoy... One of my personal favourites was I think between Machynlleth and Dolgellau, section that cut through the mountain and you could see right to the other side... That put a big smile on my face! :-)

Re: Friday 4th Sept - Wales Rideout

Ha, it was mainly coz I haven't been to Newtown on me Todd before it's always been with someone else. Will have a look on map, think the easiest (tho may not be the best roads) would be straight down A483... Hopefully I'll recognise the way to Maccies when I get into Newtown...

Re: Tankslap Wales Rideout - 19th August

If your committing to a 2 hour ride just to get the Raven it would be rude not to come :D Will aim to be there around 9am. Can just head West from the Raven through Llangollen and on towards Betsys-y-Coed if you like, keep it simple and quite short and hopefully we'll dodge or even beat the rain bac...
