Re: Old tyre

I refuse to change tyres until the tread's gone. Regardless of how long they've been fitted.

Silverstone MotoGP

I went to Donny a few years ago. Although the experience was amazing, I chalked it down to "one more thing checked off the bucket list". I said I'd prefer to watch it on TV in future. However, my brother's not been to a MotoGP before so his fiancé bought him a 3 day pass with grandstand se...

What did you do to your bike today ??

Bought this little lot to get the NC29 into shape. Generator, rectifier, battery.....basically, the complete charging system. Testing each component on the bike revealed that they were all fooked! Oh, and the obligatory oil and filter. Nice little job for Sunday.... http://img.tapatalk.com/d/14/08/0...

Re: What's Your Mileage

The ZX7r has 35k on it. Do I win?
Not thrown my leg over a bike on two years, so this year, I've done a grand total of no miles.
I re-read some of my posts, and can only conclude that I'm a bit odd.

Re: Mallory Friday 8th August

Good news....booked the time off work.
Bad news....I need to sort out the charging issue on the NC29 or the front brake issue on the ZX7R before I book. Can't use the GSXR as it has a full Akra race system and no original.

Should get the 400 sorted in time though.

Whatever happens, I'll be there.

Mallory Friday 8th August

..... It'll be pretty busy and quick then. maybe. the track day is about the same price as the wednesday half day testing, so cheaper to do the track day, then everyone just stays over in the paddock for the weekend. it'll only be the fast group that's busy...I really can't imagine a racer's ego to...

Switching from Road to Track

How about another track? There are turns on them all :-p If it's north of Brum, I could hire a LWB van and pick you both up en route. Make a couple of days of it. Thoughts? Do Mike and Jon still have bikes? I unhooked that caravan at a motorway services and drove off when I'd finished with it. Prope...

Re: Switching from Road to Track

Kwack, P3rkles. Let me know when you go to Mallory, I'm coming along. Not been on a track in around 5 years. I'd probably book novices too....Rich, I'll pop a camera on the bike and follow you around. You'll see exactly where you can improve for yourself.

Re: Ebay cheaters

If I bid on any auctions, I tend to set an alarm to notify me 15 mins before the auction is due to finish, open two windows on the laptop, set my max bid up in one window and keep refreshing the other. When there are 5 seconds or so left, I'll place my max bid. I usually win as there's no time for a...

Jimmy Savile inquests

Really not defending anyone here, just wondering what are facts and what are allegations.

Have any of the cases been heard in a court yet? Any posthumous convictions?

As I say, certainly not defending him, but some claims appear to be beyond sick, perverted and twisted.
