Re: Brake Sysem upgrades

That'll be cheap :) The Evotech levers are good but have a look at Lightech - I've got these on the kwak and they're excellent value and quality http://www.reactiveparts.com/lightech-yamaha-yzf-r1-04-14-brake--clutch-lever-kit-2948-p.asp" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; Ask ...

Re: Brake Sysem upgrades

Cheers yes I see what you mean. The thing with the EBC am not overly keen on the gold centres... but I guess its the brake what matters at the end of the day :) Will give some more thought on it. Im guessing Levers and Lines and Pads should already give noticeble effect. I have a list below of all s...

Brake Sysem upgrades

Hey up chaps... Just having an overhaul... not really required as despite 60k miles on original stuff all seems tight still. But anyway decided to splash. I have bought some HEL Lines and Evotech Levers. And just looking at brak discs. Am kind of ruling out disc sets for 120 quid because it just doe...

Re: lean angles?

Yeah I wasn't too confident on the last session as tyres felt a bit weird. Never experienced it before. Had to back off a bit. Tyres running are pilot road 3.. Yes shoulder seems bobbly with chunks of rubber.

lean angles?

Hey up guys.. Went to Brands on Tuesday eve... Ended up surprising myself big time in the sense that a) still not ever got me knee down... But b) have managed to grind off my hero blobs on the right peg? Anyone know if that's a dangerous place to be riding? In other words.. Should my knee be the ind...

What I did today... Cleaned the bike.... Took the bike off the paddock stand... Leant the bike over on its own stand.... Then CRASH............ Dam slab disintegrated and a small void below the broken part of the slab..... stand went right through and bike ended up on its side... Just marvellous.. o...

Off roading / Trails

Hiya chaps.. Anyone into trail riding off roading? Just wondering if there are 'free public off road bike routes' that you can just rock up and ride. No club member or fees. I am guessing these will be shared with pedestrians/horse riders and cyclists... Are these very few here in the UK? Any ideas ...

Re: Decisions Decisions Part Deaux..

The Tiger does look like a good piece of kit and an excellent all rounder. How about using that as a commuter and then giving the R1 a full refresh? Cant beat the R1 as a commuter in London.. I pretty much fly down between cars filtering with bar ends sometimes an inch off the vehicles and having t...

Re: Decisions Decisions Part Deaux..

I would P/X the R1 for the Tiger and then buy a new R1 , simples (giggle) No can do.. Other half would know I had two new bikes that way.. At least if I get a new bike first then secretly get another black R1 she wouldn't have a clue.. But to part ex it for a new bike she would know I should still ...

Re: Bike Cams.

Can't beat a contour roam2.. Bang for buck and solid. Especially as contour gone tits up you can get these now for about 100 to 130 if you shop around instead of the 170 quid rrp I want a cam with a screen on. One of the reasons I wouldnt buy a lot of cams. With wifi, you can use your phone as the ...

Decisions Decisions Part Deaux..

Hey peeps.. Having racked up fifty odd thousand in 3 years on the R1.. And still solid and looks mint.. My mate convinced the missus that's extremely high mileage for that bike... And is unsafe he he.. She kind of agreed then that I should consider getting a new bike.. BUT also convinced her to stil...
