Re: someone wants to take the bike round the car park

Fwiw I expect that Hubb's has got the message loud & clear by now.

Perhaps thinking hats on.: Maybe the advice we should now be concentrating on offering should be more around the best tactic for changing his colleague's mind .?

Re: someone wants to take the bike round the car park

Fwiw I think we all know it will probably end in tears mate.

You will end up with a damaged bike, an injured colleague, probably someone's damaged car & undoutably the blame for all of it.

How to tell him no, so that he "gets it" is going to be a challenge though IMHO.

Re: What are you eating ??

I had kangaroo over Christmas. Unimpressed tbh. Not worth it over beef IMO. We have an ostrich farm up the road so that will get a visit during the year. I'd like to try it. That's a shame. My take on the Kangaroo steak was that it seemed very tasty. I felt it's consistency was about that of a firm...

Re: If you could go live anywhere....

..Much as i would love to go and live in Italy, Spain or France in the future, we are at a point in our lives right now where it just is not possible with son still at school and ageing parents needing help. Fwiw my parents seriously considered emigrating to Canada or NZ back in the early 70's. The...

Re: Removing tyres

Fwiw I fit my own tyres. I do have my own bead breaker (now) but for years I coped without one. If you are going to remove them yourself, a couple of tips : Warm them first. Warm tyres are far easier to work on when warm. If you can get away with storing them in your airing cupboard for at least 6 h...

Sorry, but I don't like it.

The nicest (therefore "dream") Ducati for me has always been the 748.

However the 899 Panini is growing on me (blush) Shhhhhhhh.!!

A good opportunity to say special thanks to your mum, i think... There is always her birthday .? Although, actually I agree. Any excuse to show appreciation, and make up for the lack of that appreciation that I'll have demonstrated for a good portion of my years. .... lets be honest the present I c...

I don't know where you brought them from mate. But if they need a re-paint perhaps it would be wise to have them checked for any run out before you get that work done.?

Re: Gear Indicators

I have a gear indicator on my beloved little 675 Spudda. It is the first bike I have ever owned with one. Previously I have always "judged" my gears, ( and still do on my CBR400 ). The only time I have found the gear selector useful is on track: sometimes I check it when I want to enter a ...
