Re: What are you doing today ??
Second night shift.. always the hardest of the swing for some reason. 1 am and I've got that scattered floaty feeling going on. Time to go find something to do outside and hope the coffee I just had kicks in soon

Re: Brits Abroad
I work with plenty of Brits and Scots and I must say they are the best bunch of blokes. Plenty of good natured ribbing goes on and I reckon the platform would be worse of with out them. But it is a 'dry camp' maybe that's the difference! Aussies in Bali are just as bad so I don't think it's a purely...

Re: Mixing oils
Any oil is better than no oil. If it's the same grade and just different brand I'd definitely not worry. Only concern would be if you had synthetic in there and dumping mineral on top.

Re: Starting problem
Glad you got it sorted mate. Mahle make the triumph one anyway, that model is rebranded across a lot of bikes. I bought a BMW branded one after discovering a cross reference chart. Got the bike shop to bring out both. Confirmed they were exactly the same. Except Triumph one was over twice the price.

Taught my boy to ride without training wheels!!! School holidays so spent the last few days taking him down to the park and running slowly behind him. Yesterday saw him riding without me holding on but still hadn't mastered the take off and stop. Got that sorted today, and his confidence has soared!!

Re: Cookie Monster.. Still think I should go for a swim?
Seeing as being on a rig is a bit like being in a prison, I wonder how many people who whistle all the time, piss on toilet seats , drink the last of the orange juice or any number of mindblowingly irritatingly things have been chucked over into a scene like that. Who would know ? Your back to back...

Re: Cookie Monster.. Still think I should go for a swim?
I heard it reported that Bull Sharks have the highest testosterone of any animal, thats what makes them so dangerous, well that and the fact they can swim in salt and fresh water so frequently swim up rivers Also the power of a Tiger Sharks jaws mean they can bite clean through a green turtle, so I...

Re: Cookie Monster.. Still think I should go for a swim?
I guess that explains why there are so many, in such close proximity. I think my heart would be in my mouth if I came across a 5-6 foot shark, even if I did have your knowledge of their "relative safety". Do we assume the Tigers are even larger, or are they simply more aggressive.? Tigers...

Re: Cookie Monster.. Still think I should go for a swim?
Binno, they are black tip reef sharks, averaging 5-6 ft. And seriously as a experienced diver, I'd get in there no dramas. Except a work mate is an ex commercial offshore diver, and he reckons a few feet down there's tiger sharks waiting for a munch, so I've had a change of heart! Monty, as for the ...

Haven't been able to run since last friday, was getting alot of pain from my right calf/archilles tendon, nice lump on it just above my heel. Either badly imflammed or I've managed to put a tear in it. I'm due off tomorrow, got a Physio appt. booked for thursday. Looks like my training is going to ...

It's more enlightening reading Wazza!
Good work mate, I've been to a couple of autism workshops that were very helpful but that last book helped me much more, some great fundamental concepts discussed in there. You make me feel lacking that I haven't read the rest now!

My eldest (now 4) is being put forward for Aspergers assessment, and listening to the questioning it's made me think about my own diagnosis. I personally was diagnosed with severe dyslexia, but from the questions they have asked about my son I have (and historically have had) many traits of apserge...
