Re: Kawasaki H2 Insurance

Obviously the market value of the ten was higher than the blade Perkles so this will have factored in the premium increase.

Re: Austin Motogp

They have an option to run a softer compound but its a double edged sword as they then can't run the harder compound which might be the tyre of choice at circuits.

For example Ducati might get access to soft and medium and factory teams medium and hard.

Well that's how I understand it anyway.

Perkles wrote:whats the difference in insurance cost between your old fireblade and the zx10r Blade ?
Went up about £60 if I remember rightly but had to shop around to get that price. Pervious insurer wanted more.

You spoke yo Tamworth Yamaha yet ;)

Re: Kawasaki H2 Insurance

I don't suppose it helps they are all hand built in limited numbers. Spares costs must make the risk of right off very high I guess, still 30% of the bikes value for one years insurance does seem steep IMO.

Re: Kawasaki H2 Insurance

I did a quote on a superleggra on comparison websites and cheapest quote was over £7000 but going to a Ducati specialist dropped it massively to £1900 but still expensive, although as Kwacky says it goes with the territory of buying and owning exotic bikes.

Re: Austin Motogp

Isn't there something in the rules about post race fuel testing? That was the first race with offically 22 litres as they have had 3 podiums now. Although originally they were allowed 24 litres as part of the factory option concessions they said they raced with 22 litres anyway as they didn't need ...

You could say running out of fuel 50 metres after the finish line, that somebody has done there sums very well.

Re: What you watching?

Did Iannone run out of fuel on warm down lap ????

Ducati said the change to 22 litres of fuel wouldn't effect them, maybe not the case.

Re: What you watching?

Motogp. Not a fantastic race but 3 manufacturers on the podium gives hope for a close season of racing.
